About the CareFreeBlackGirl CookOut

The CareFreeBlackGirl CookOut is a touring festival and lifestyle experience that celebrates the beauty, creativity, and power of Black women and femmes. Founded as an extension of the CareFreeBlackGirl brand, the CookOut has grown into a cultural movement that brings communities together through music, art, fashion, food, and wellness.

More than just an event, the CookOut creates safe, affirming spaces where Black femmes—cis, queer, and trans—can thrive authentically. Each stop on the tour highlights local talent, showcases Black-owned businesses, and amplifies the voices of emerging creators.

Since its start, the CookOut has made a lasting impact by:

  • Empowering Entrepreneurs: Providing opportunities for vendors and small businesses to connect directly with new audiences.

  • Building Community: Creating spaces for connection, collaboration, and joy that extend beyond the event itself.

  • Amplifying Culture: Centering Black femme narratives and pushing them into national and global conversations.

With thousands of attendees and a growing digital presence, the CareFreeBlackGirl CookOut is redefining what it means to gather, celebrate, and empower. It’s not just a festival—it’s a movement dedicated to reminding the world that carefree Black girls are here to stay.
